Founded in August 2012, Shaoxing Mujia Textile had been weaving and exporting for eleven years before taking its first overseas booth in Dubai in 2023.

AFF Vietnam 2024 — Ho Chi Minh City
AFF Vietnam is one of the largest China-hosted textile shows in Vietnam, organised with Meorient International Exhibition and supported by Vietnamese trade bodies including the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ho Chi Minh City Garment, Textile and Embroidery Association.
Visitors were mainly garment factories, sourcing offices and trading companies buying for Vietnam's export garment sector and the wider RCEP region. Conversations centred on fabric weight, shrinkage control and small first orders — the same questions we still answer today.
INTEX UAE 2023 — Dubai
INTEX is the textile section of the UAE–China Export Brand Joint Expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre — the largest Chinese self-run exhibition series in the Middle East, supported by the Dubai Chamber and Texmas, the Dubai textile merchants association.
Buyers came from the Gulf, North Africa and South Asia — abaya and kaftan makers, uniform and suiting workshops, and importers buying for Ramadan and Eid cycles. That trip is where we first learned how much the Gulf market cares about pile depth, drape and colour consistency on dark shades.
From show floor to factory floor
What those two shows changed in how we work.
The 2023 Dubai and 2024 Ho Chi Minh City shows were where we first heard the same request from two very different markets. Abaya, kaftan and eveningwear buyers kept asking for burnout (devore) velvet and stretch velvet — pile depth, drape, and colour consistency on black and navy. What we were running at the time was not a range we could win on price.
Since 2025 our core production has concentrated on velvet, corduroy and wide-width prints — woven and finished under our own roof in Zhuji, Zhejiang. The exhibition experience still shapes how we quote: short first orders, weight and shrinkage declared up front, and colour matching against a physical swatch rather than a screen.

Why buyers ask about trade shows at all
- Booth numbers are verifiable. A stand number can be checked against the official floor plan and exhibitor list of the show — a trading shell company cannot fake one.
- It shows you have faced real buyers. Anyone can write "professional manufacturer" on a website. Standing at a show in Dubai or Ho Chi Minh City means you have answered questions about shrinkage, MOQ and lead time in person.
- It tells you which markets we already know. Vietnam, the Gulf and North Africa are not theory for us — we have quoted, sampled and shipped into them.
