We weave viscose velvet and knit stretch velvet in Zhuji, next to Keqiao, and dye and finish it at a long-term partner dyehouse under our own quality standard. Three velvet lines, one MOQ, one lead time. No trading desk in between.
Shaoxing Mujia Textile Co., Ltd. is a velvet manufacturer based in Zhuji, Zhejiang, next to Keqiao — the world's largest textile distribution hub. We weave what we sell: 30 LENADO air-jet looms in our own 5,000 m² plant, about 5 million metres a year, running since 2012. Our three velvet lines: burnout / devoré (model MJ-VBR01, 80% viscose / 20% nylon, 170–200 GSM, about 140 cm usable, FOB from US $3.10/m), solid-dyed (model MJ-VSL01, the same 80/20 viscose-nylon, about 250 GSM, 24 repeat shades held on file plus a 40+ shade standard card, FOB US $3.10–3.50/m), and warp-knit stretch velvet (model MJ 7124, 95% polyester / 5% spandex, 250 GSM, 155–160 cm, 76 ready colours, FOB US $2.10–2.35/m). MOQ is 300 meters per colour on all three lines, lead time is about 15 days after shade confirmation, and cushion and soft-furnishing work uses the same 170–270 g/m² apparel weights. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is available on request through certified upstream partners, quality is managed under the Mujia Textile Quality Standard (MTQS), and payment terms are T/T with L/C at sight for larger orders.
Keqiao is the world's largest fabric distribution hub, and a lot of the velvet sold there is bought from a mill and resold. When you source from the weaving mill instead, the chain shortens in three places that actually matter.
We keep the dye record for every shade we run. When your repeat order lands six months later, the same lab dip is on file — not a memory of it. A trading company that bought the original lot cannot promise this once that lot is gone.
Our viscose velvet is woven as white greige and held that way. Dyeing starts only after you approve a lab dip, so you are not picking from whatever pre-dyed shades happen to be sitting in someone's warehouse.
Weaving, dyeing and printing run as one sequence rather than three handoffs between companies. When a burnout pattern needs a re-dye after the first bulk, that conversation happens inside one building, not across a supply chain.
Two woven viscose velvets and one warp-knit stretch velvet. Different buyers, different end uses, same MOQ and same lead time.
A true viscose pile, not an all-polyester imitation. The pattern is burnt out of the pile by a printed devoré paste, so the design sits in the cloth itself rather than on top of it. Custom patterns are made from your own artwork, and hot-fix rhinestone work (BR-11 to BR-13) can be added.
Main end uses: Somali dirac, Sudanese toub, abaya, kaftan, evening wear, African celebration wear.
The plain version of the same 80/20 viscose-nylon cloth, at about 250 GSM. 24 repeat best-selling shades are held on file and a 40+ shade standard card is available, with any Pantone TCX developed as a lab dip before bulk. White greige is woven and held ready, which is why the lead is about 15 days rather than a full dye cycle.
Main end uses: dirac, toub, abaya, kaftan, evening wear, linings and trims.
A warp-knit with a short, close-cropped polyester pile and a bright face. 5% spandex gives four-way stretch and recovery, and the 250 GSM body drapes fluidly rather than standing out. Offered as 76 ready solid colours, a digital floral print on multiple grounds, or an embossed tonal floral finish — all on the same base cloth.
Main end uses: qipao, evening and party dresses, gowns, sets, stage wear.
Our apparel velvets run 170–270 g/m². Cushions, pillows and soft-furnishing accents use exactly that cloth — no re-engineering, no separate program, which is why a cushion and a garment in the same shade number match. Sofa seating velvet is a different construction at 280–500 g/m² against a Martindale target, and that is not a line we run.
Send the shade, the quantity and the hand you want, and we quote from the program we actually weave.
Four buyer types, and the reason each one comes to a mill rather than a marketplace listing.
A shade card, a MOQ that fits a first season, and a dye record that survives to the second order. Most brands start at 300 m in one colour and build from there.
Cutting programmes that need the same cloth across multiple colourways with a lead time that fits a production calendar. We quote against your cut plan, not a catalogue page.
Container volumes on the same production line as the small orders, with OEM packaging and private-label production available. Your customer never sees our name on the carton.
The same 170–270 g/m² apparel velvet, cut for cushions, pillows and decorative accents — no separate program and no separate MOQ. We do not weave sofa seating velvet, and we say so up front rather than after the sample.
Tell us the line (burnout, solid-dyed or stretch), the end use and the target price. We come back with the construction, the FOB price and the MOQ that actually applies.
A4 swatches of the relevant line and, for solid-dyed, the shade card. For burnout, a swatch of your own artwork burnt out on our base cloth.
Your Pantone TCX or shade card matched and submitted as a lab dip. Nothing goes to bulk until you approve the dip in writing.
Weaving, dyeing and printing run as one sequence. Inspection happens at greige, after dye and again before packing, under MTQS.
Roll packing or flat fold, your label and carton marks if you want them, and the export documents prepared against your forwarder's requirements.
The dye record from your first order stays on file. A repeat six months later starts from that standard, not from a new match.
Tell us the line, the end use and the colour direction. We reply with a construction, a price and the MOQ that applies — not a catalogue page.
Request a velvet quoteA manufacturer, not a trader. We weave on our own looms in Zhuji, next to Keqiao, and place dyeing and finishing with our long-term partners in the Keqiao cluster, under our own QC — so the burnout, solid-dyed and stretch lines are made to our spec, not bought in and resold. That is why a shade standard can be held across repeat orders: we keep the dye record with the mill that ran your shade, and send it back with your second order.
300 metres per colour on the burnout, solid-dyed and stretch lines. That is per colour, not per stock lot — there are no pre-dyed shades being pushed at you. The one exception is a custom colour on MJ 7124 stretch velvet, which is 2,000 m because the knit has to be dyed as a dedicated lot.
Three: burnout / devoré in 80% viscose / 20% nylon at 170–200 GSM (MJ-VBR01), solid-dyed in the same 80/20 at about 250 GSM (MJ-VSL01), and warp-knit stretch in 95% polyester / 5% spandex at 250 GSM (MJ 7124). Cushion and soft-furnishing work uses the same 170–270 g/m² apparel weights; sofa seating velvet at 280–500 g/m² against a Martindale target is not a line we weave.
Yes. Any Pantone TCX shade, or your own shade card, is developed as a lab dip and submitted for approval before bulk. For solid-dyed velvet, 24 repeat best-selling shades are already held on file and a 40+ shade standard card is available if you want a starting point rather than a fresh match.
About 15 days after shade confirmation on solid-dyed velvet, because white greige is woven and held ready and dyeing only starts once you approve the dip. Burnout runs about 15 working days. Cushion work ships on the same lead time as the apparel cloth, because it is the same cloth.
Yes, from the apparel program. Cushions, pillows and soft-furnishing accents use the same 170–270 g/m² velvet we weave for garments, at the same MOQ and lead time. Sofa seating velvet is a different construction at 280–500 g/m² against a Martindale target, and that is not a line we run.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is available on request, arranged through certified upstream partners. We do not hold the certificate in our own name for every line, and we say so rather than implying otherwise — if a specific certification is a hard requirement for your order, tell us at inquiry stage and we confirm what can be arranged before you commit.
Yes. The devoré pattern is printed from your artwork, so any design you own the rights to can be run. The design library is in-house and re-colourable, which means an existing pattern can be shifted to a different colourway without redrawing it. Hot-fix rhinestone work (BR-11 to BR-13) can be added on the same base cloth.
